Drinking with Herbs: Rosemary & Vodka Lemon Drank

Picture this: It's Black Friday, you've been out shopping for all the stuff you don't need all day and you've finally made it home. You're lounging, ya know bickin back bein bool. You know what would look great in your hand? Something with some rosemary in it. Try this delicious cocktail recipe:

For the rosemary simple syrup

1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped, minced, whole...however you want it

1/2 cup water, don't use tap

1/2 cup sugar, we use organic cane sugar, but you can use regular degular white sugar

For the cocktail

1 oz vodka, feel free to use more

1/2 oz rosemary syrup, or more if you'd like

3/4 oz of fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon squeezed)

Club Soda

To make the rosemary simple syrup, you just bring the water to a boil, add the sugar and rosemary, then stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar dissolves, remove the pot from the heat and let it sit (we call this steeping) for 45 minutes to an hour. There you've got simple syrup.

Once your syrup cools, get you a fancy glass. Add gin, lemon juice, and syrup. Top off with the club soda. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary. Go be bossy.

Feel free to use gin instead vodka, if you're saucy.

  • Sounds like a great combo. Lately I’ve been luvin those sparkling mineral waters, S.Pellegrino and dem, so I might try it with that instead of the club soda. Cheers!
