While Cheese Tea takes China by storm, the tea recipe is slowly making it's way to the States. You can find it in LA and NYC, but here in Maryland, we have to make it on our own.
I gave it a try, testing a couple of different recipes before I found the right one.
It's sweet, but you can add sugar or salt to taste, changing just what you get in the cup.
Is it healthy? I'm not too sure. Probably not. But it's still a fun way to spice up your iced tea. And who cares about health when you're having fun?
Yeah. That was a dumb question.
8 oz Rise & Grind, iced
0.5 oz Cream Cheese, plain
1 tbsp Milk
9 tbsp Whipped Cream
- Add cream cheese, milk, and whipped cream to a bowl, whisk into a fluffy consistency. Taste and add sugar and salt, as preferred. Store in the fridge.
- While the cheese topping chills, brew your Rise & Grind tea.
- Once your tea has cooled, sweeten it and pour it into a glass, then spoon the cheese topping on to the iced tea.
- Sip slowly and enjoy.
